If you’ve already read my views on “man boobs exercises” in general then you’ll know I’m not a big fan of the concept. The idea that by concentrating on some a specific type of magic press-up, you’ll increase your chances of burning chest fat has led many a poor man boob sufferer down the wrong path.
Trying to isolate and burn pectoral fat through pectoral exercise is futile. It’s also a waste of energy that could be more effectively channelled in other ways. What stubborn body fat needs is activity that works multiple muscle groups and stimulates healthy metabolic and hormonal changes in the process.
Performing lunges, squats, pulls and other bodyweight movements is a super effective way of achieving this during workouts, but did you know you can gain similar benefits from engaging in regular and passionate sexual activity?
Well, if not you now have an extra chat up line for your collection, because now you can explain that going back to her place will result in more than just a lot of fun, it’s a great way of getting in shape as well!
Firstly, there’s the calorie burning which averages between 50 to 100 depending on the duration of the ‘session’ and the other cardiovascular benefits that stem from elevated heart rate and respiration.
Then there’s all those natural bodyweight manoeuvres that occur naturally during sex, even a moderately “ambitious” lovemaking session should give most major muscle groups a pretty good working over!
On top of that you’ve got all sorts of profound hormonal happenings going on, with testosterone levels in particular getting a nice, healthy boost.
So yes, sex is a great workout if you can get it, but bear in mind that these benefits only arise if you are truly “active” during your sexual activity. If you tend to be half asleep or watching the football game during the process it aint going to cut it
The only thing left to do now is find someone willing to play ball!
